Background and History
Ngecha YMCA was established in 1956 as an N.G.O by a group of dedicated Christians. Early 1960s they constructed a temporally building at Ngecha trading centre where they would regularly meet. The movement became popular in the village and its environs. Today Ngecha YMCA has over 450 youth members, fourteen affiliated groups and still growing strong.

Ngecha YMCA has been involved in youth programme for forty years. Recreational activities and vocational training has been paramount within local communities.

- AAmong the youth projects at the branch are volley ball, football, table tennis, net ball, scrabble etc.
