Brief History

The central Branch YMCA is one of the oldest branches in Kenya. Its Located on state house road and to date has a total membership of over 80,000 since inception. It’s located in the same compound with the National secretariat. It’s the smallest Branch but has the most members countrywide. There are different types of members thus Youth, Associate and Life members all paying different charges.

Youth Programmes

Our youth programs range from Hi-Y clubs which helps educate youth on values ,to motivational speaking  and the platform is always open for youth to develop there skills.

Sports and Recreation

Include both indoor and outdoor sports. Like volley ball, basketball, soccer, badminton and swimming, hiking ,camping. Indoor will include table tennis, gym, aerobics, darts, karate and taekwondo.

Educational Programmes

Includes Hi-Y ,S2C .Environmental education.

Community Services:

Visiting children’s homes, advocacy on S2C, advocacy on Climate Justice, Peace campaign and disaster risk reduction activities, Health programs.
